What Are The Myths of Under Arm Hair Removal

Filed Under Underarm Hair Removal | Leave a Comment

Believe it or not, there are actual myths about under arm hair removal. Isn’t that just crazy? I would never have thought, but I guess there can be a myth for just about anything.

One of the myths is that after you shave your underarms the regrowth will come in alot darker and also thicker than before.  This is definitely not true! This is for sure a myth! Don’t worry that you’re going to have gorilla armpit hairs after the first shaving or two.

A second myth I found out is that when you shave, your armpit skin will become a darker shade than it was before. Again… false! This is a funny myth you should not ever believe in a million years. This darkening you may see is the new growth of stubble.

If you don’t like this, you might want to do another method of hair removal like waxing or laser hair removal. Doing either one of these is supposed to reduce this darkening if there actually is any to begin with.

One last myth that I thought was quite funny was that shaving underarm hair was a sign of loose virtue or even prostitution.  This is factually not true!  There is no historical basis for this, and in reality most cultures the removal of excess body hair.
